1. What happened:
The other day, I received a call from an unknown number. The caller claimed to be a customer service representative from Express, saying that there was a problem with one of my packages during transit and they needed some personal information from me to process the compensation. I didn’t think too much about it at the time and foolishly gave them my name, phone number, and address.
2. The scammer revealed their true nature:
Then, they started subtly asking for my ID number, bank account details, and verification codes. Alarms bells immediately went off in my head! This wasn’t customer service, this was a scammer! I immediately hung up and contacted the official SF Express customer service, confirming that there were no problems with my packages.

This experience really opened my eyes to how sophisticated scammers have become. We have to be extra vigilant! Here are some anti-scam tips I’ve learned. Please take note!

- Install security software: Install security software on your phone to effectively block scam calls and messages. This adds an extra layer of protection.
- Communicate with friends and family immediately: If you encounter anything suspicious, talk to your loved ones right away and ask for their advice. Multiple perspectives often help in identifying potential problems.
