Hey everyone! AI digital humans are all the rage lately, right? All those promotional videos show them as lifelike and realistic, almost indistinguishable from real people! I was intrigued and decided to give it a try, but…
1. Expectation vs. Reality
In the promotional videos, the digital human avatars are gorgeous, with flawless skin, big eyes, natural expressions, and sweet voices. They can even interact with you! I was dreaming of using a digital human as a virtual anchor for my online store, thinking it would be amazing!
But the reality? I tried several platforms, and the generated digital humans were either stiff and robotic in their expressions or had mechanical voices like Siri. Forget about any meaningful interaction; they were like parrots, just repeating what I said!
2. Customization? Forget About It!
Some platforms claimed to offer customizable digital human avatars. I thought, “Okay, I’ll create one that looks like a celebrity!” But the faces I ended up with were either bizarre or generic, nothing like what I had envisioned.
3. Complex Operation, High Technical Barrier
I initially thought operating a digital human would be simple, but I was bombarded with parameter settings and script writing, which was overwhelming! Without a certain level of technical expertise, it’s impossible to master.
4. Expensive and Poor Value for Money
Some platforms charge exorbitant prices for their digital human services, costing thousands of dollars. For that price, I could hire a real human anchor who would do a much better job!
My Solution:
Instead of spending a fortune on an unreliable digital human, it’s better to use a real human anchor or appear on camera yourself! While it might not be as “high-tech” as a digital human, it’s at least authentic and offers better value for money.
My Experience:
After this experiment, I realized that AI digital human technology is still in its early stages of development and far from achieving true “realism.” Instead of being swayed by marketing hype, it’s better to focus on creating quality content, which is what truly matters!
