Guys, I’m literally crying tears of joy! 😠As someone with a weak English foundation, I was initially full of confidence when I decided to self-study for IELTS. I thought that as long as I worked hard, I could succeed! But… reality hit me hard! I bought a ton of materials, memorized words only to forget them, grammar questions were always a headache, and speaking was even harder – I could barely open my mouth. My mock test scores were so low that I started doubting my life…
I once wanted to give up, thinking that self-studying for IELTS was simply a fantasy! 😩 Just when I was about to break down, I stumbled upon a treasured learning method that helped me go from an IELTS newbie to a Band 8 master! 😎 No more suspense, let me share it with you!
My IELTS Self-Study Comeback Secret is:
1. Create a reasonable study plan and stick to it!
Don’t set yourself overly ambitious goals at the beginning. Gradual progress is the key to going further! I divided my daily study time into several parts, focusing on vocabulary memorization, listening practice, reading, and writing, and conducted a full mock test every week to track my progress.
2. Utilize fragmented time for learning!
During my commute, lunch breaks, or even while waiting in line, I would use mobile apps to memorize words, listen to English news, or watch English learning videos. Making full use of fragmented time, accumulating small gains into significant progress, the effect is amazing!
3. Find a learning method that suits you!
Everyone’s learning method is different. Finding the one that suits you is the most important! I prefer using mind maps to organize grammar knowledge, speaking practice software to improve fluency, and past papers to practice exam techniques.
4. Don’t be afraid to make mistakes, learn from them!
You will definitely make mistakes during the learning process. Don’t be afraid, the important thing is to summarize the lessons learned and avoid repeating the same mistakes. I would organize the questions I got wrong into an error log and review them regularly to reinforce my understanding.
5. Maintain a positive learning attitude and believe in yourself!
Learning is a long and arduous process that requires persistent effort and, more importantly, a positive learning attitude and the belief that you can succeed! I would encourage myself every day, telling myself that I can definitely do it!
User Experience:
Since I started using this method, my IELTS learning efficiency has greatly improved, and learning has become more motivating! My vocabulary has significantly increased, my grammar has become more solid, and my speaking and writing have also made great progress! Most importantly, I finally achieved my desired score in the IELTS exam! 🎉
Highly recommended to all those who are self-studying for IELTS! Believe that as long as you persevere, you can also succeed! 💪
